Spotlight: Eclipse

Since first arriving on the local music scene in 2005, Ohio based Eclipse has not only exploded in popularity among local music fans, but has remained true to their roots by steadily pushing their sound past the threshold of musical boundaries classifications and genres.

These versatile style-mashers push a positive message while seamlessly combining elements of hip-hop, jazz, rock, funk, latin and world music into their sound. Some have described Eclipse as sounding like The Roots, Ozomatli, Outkast, the Disco Biscuits, and the Gym Class Heroes.

This talented collection of musicians, who's live performances contain no fewer than 7 members, include Brian Batchelor-Glader (keyboards, vocals and rhythm guitar), Max Gise (acoustic and electric guitars and vocals), Jibri (emcee), Daddie Rich (emcee), Aaron Jacobs (upright and electric bass), Phillip Tipton (drums), Charlie Schweitzer (percussion), and Paul Batchelor-Glader (saxophones).

Eclipse has performed in a number of local and regional clubs, festivals and colleges throughout the Midwest and in nearby cities such as Chicago, Columbus, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland.
