Los Angeles Police Department issued a statement on Wednesday that officers arrested a French nationalist believed to be one of the two artists known as Space Invader.
The arrest came last Friday, around the debut of MOCA‘s Art In The Streets exhibition, when patrolmen detained 2 suspects, one was a French national, with buckets filled with grout and tile pieces. While Space Invader has yet to confirm the arrest. Space Invader's artwork can be seen in and around the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA.
This just goes to show what people have been calling art for years is still view as vandalism by many.
