Even with the Rock The Bells hip hop tour coming to four cities this summer, the folks at the festival's promotor Guerrilla Union are keeping themselves busy by presenting dope tours by some of the artists from the festival. The latest fresh hip hop offering brings Mos Def & Talib Kweli back together to play the complete Black Star album.
For those not in the know, Black Star was the hugely successful 1998 album that put these two MCs on the map and changed the game in hip hop. On Black Star the beats were produced by DJ Hi Tek. There is no definitive word yet on whether Dj Hi Tek will be heading out on this tour as well, but we can hope that he does so that they can keep it true to the original.
