The Shins haven't release a new album since 2007's Wincing the Night Away on Sub Pop Records. Since then, frontman James Mercer has created his own Aural Apothecary label. Now Aural Apothecary has team up with Columbia Records to drop a fresh new Shins record.
In the meantime, The Shins are hitting the road for a small tour across the US. According to a press release, the folks backing Shins frontman James Mercer on this tour include singer/songwriter Richard Swift, Modest Mouse drummer Joe Plummer, Yuuki Matthews of Crystal Skulls, and singer/songwriter Jessica Dobson.
