Elvis Costello is cultural icon that stays fresh with every generation. From the glasses to the music, Costello's style is timeless. Luckily Costello & The Imposters are back, and will be heading out for two weeks of dates with "The Spectacular Spinning Songbook".
Costello will be choosing his set-list with "The Spectacular Spinning Songbook", a game-show style wheel that features 40 song-titles, including hits, rarities and very covers.
Audience members will be invited onstage to spin "The Wheel" and then be offered a chance to enter the "Hostage to Fortune Go-Go Cage", while their selection is being played.
They may also choose to take a seat in the on-stage "Society Lounge", where light refreshments will be served, during what promises to be a splendid and surprising evening.
The original Wheel was donated to the Hartlepool Museum Of Showbusiness Machinery and now for the first time in 25 years, Costello will be performing with a new wheel constructed from the original's blueprints.
The Imposters are: Steve Nieve (keyboards); Pete Thomas (drums) and Davey Faragher (bass).
