Jamaican born rapper/producer, one of the freshest MCs on the scene in the late 80's & 90's was pronounced dead yesterday at the age of 44.
According to TMZ, Heavy D died at an unspecified hospital in Los Angeles from as of yet unknown causes. He will always be remembered as the leader of Heavy D & the Boyz and for his string of hits during Hip Hop's milder days. His version of The O'Jays' "Now That We Found Love" will always be remembered as one of the top jams of the 90's.
Heavy D was always larger than life and will no doubt be missed by music fans the world over.
