Ah, yes… the beginning of fall quarter at the University of Cincinnati. A day of downtime mixed with the occasional 15-minutes of academia. There's nothing like strolling into class for the first time knowing that you're ready – you got your fresh pencil case with some no. 2's and that janky version of last year's book you "acquired" from the guy selling Street Vibes near the bookstore. As you sit down, you already start to ignore your professor’s ramblings about attendance and participation points as you glance down at your Swatch and wonder 'where the hell is the freakin syllabus already?' Minutes later, you're out the door wondering what's up for the rest of the afternoon.
This year, looks like things are a little different thanks to Bearcast Radio and 51three. The UC student–run radio station and yours truly are kicking off fall quarter right with Launch Music Festival. So, come check out some live indie music from some of the best local bands around, grab some free stuff, and register to win cool prizes like an iPod Nano and a parking pass for winter quarter.
