Portland-based orchestral pop group The Decemberists have announced 2009 summer tour dates to promote their sophomore release on Capitol, Hazards of Love, which is slated to drop March 24, 2009.
Band member Colin Meloy originally wrote Hazards as play before deciding it was unstageable. The musical-theatre-meets-rock-opera features a narrative about a girl named Margaret, her lover William and a forest queen, and is rumored to be perfumed front to back during their upcoming tour.
